Brain Health: The Next Frontier
Premier Sponsor: Minnesota State University, Mankato
Please join us for our 2nd Annual Medical Summit, featuring a keynote Speaker followed by panel discussion, focusing on the latest groundbreaking research on a myriad of brain health topics, including sleep health, concussions, reducing the risk of Alzheimer's disease, and more.
Keynote Speaker:
Dr. Michael Rosenbloom
Neurologist
Director of the HealthPartners Center for Memory and Aging
Dr. Rosenbloom first became interested in the brain as a neuroscience student after learning about the neurochemical processes underlying memory. His subsequent training as a medical student and later as a neurology resident led to an interest in complex mental processes such as memory, emotions and language.
Eventually, he completed a fellowship at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) Memory and Aging Center, focusing on Alzheimer's disease as well as atypical dementias such as frontotemporal dementia and rapidly progressive dementia
His clinical and research focus includes FDG-PET and PIB imaging in focal presentations of Alzheimer's disease, rapidly progressive dementia, initial clinical symptoms in patients with frontotemporal dementia spectrum disorders, and therapeutic interventions for dementia.
As an attending physician within the HealthPartners Neuroscience Department, he participates in patient management as well as ongoing clinical research at the Alzheimer's Research Center.
