Join your fellow chamber members for breakfast, networking and to hear from Dr. Gigante, a neurosurgeon, at Fairview Southdale Hospital.  Dr. Gigante will be presenting on advances in technology for deep brain stimulation, or “DBS”, used to treat various conditions including Parkinson’s Disease, including a discussion about the frameless surgical technique that he currently performs  at Fairview Southdale Hospital.  Fairview Southdale Hospital is the only center in Minnesota to offer the frameless surgery technique. 

About our speaker:
Dr. Gigante, a neurosurgeon who received the American Association of Neurological Surgeons’ Kenneth Shulman Award in 2012, provides surgical spine care for chronic neck, back and limb pain. His clinical interests include chronic neck, back and limb pain; spinal cord stimulation; trigeminal neuralgia; brain tumors; Parkinson’s disease; and essential tremor.

Dr. Gigante attended Harvard Medical School, completed his residency at Columbia University and spent his fellowship at Stanford University focusing on stereotactic and functional neurosurgery.
